are we there yet?

here i am four days overdue.

A R E  W E  T H E R E  Y E T ?

even though the last month of pregnancy makes you want to poke your eyes out sometimes,
i have to admit this last couple weeks has been amazing. bry and i have truly tried to live in the moment and still go on adventures when possible. we know once that babe is here, she's here to stay. and even though that is the best thought ever, we've been loving our last days "just the two of us."

here are some things as of late:
^dinner with Tad and Kathy Callister... two of the world's greatest. if you haven't read any of his books, find my favorite here. it is life-changing.
^^the night before my due date, bry and i decided we needed to get this girl out!! we went and ran a couple miles at 9:30 pm and it honestly felt so exhilarating to be out running at night. after lunges, "hops," and a good jog... still nothing. what can i say... i make a happy home and this little one doesn't want out.
^that beautiful bride is one of my best friends, Brittney Radman- now Brittney Tingey.
She is married to the best guy, Greg, and i'm so happy for her. her wedding day was literally the most perfect day, and the reception was beautiful. every detail.
i had fun telling people that it was my due date that day... i got some pretty hilarious responses.
the flowers were unreal. my friends cath and rachel have a florist company of their own.
find them at @saltybuds on instagram. they are incredible!
^i've been waking up super early lately, and since i don't sleep well right now,
i made a goal to just get up and get my day started instead of attempt to sleep... even if it is 4 am. :) it's called for some pretty productive days. there's something i love about waking up "before the world wakes up". (i know, i'm weird.)

this past saturday was the best day. i woke up early and decided while bry was sleeping, i'd whip up some cinnamon rolls so we could take them on our hike. we made so many, we delivered them to all our neighbors and saved a pan for ourselves. then, we threw some in a backpack and hiked to donut falls for a little morning exercise. the way down involved slurpees and some college football at home before an afternoon nap. i'd call it a perfect weekend.
^september drives in the canyon make my heart happy
^the nursery is prepped and ready to go, except for our dresser/changing table that has taken over 4 months to arrive... (don't get me started). more pics of the nursery to come. but we are SO dang excited to meet this little babe this week. it feels so good to say THIS WEEK. we'll keep you updated!

  2. How exciting! I'm so happy for you. I also really like The Infinite Atonement. Have you ever ready anything by Jeffrey R. Holland? His book, Broken Things to Mend, does a great job of reminding overwhelmed and stressed Christians what our religion is all about, and the truly inspiring love and sacrifice behind it all.
    Good luck with everything, girl!
