it's about time i blogged again.
i don't think life has ever been crazier... renovating a fixer-upper, finally moving in, trying to get ready for this sweet babe that comes in 9 WEEKS, working overtime, and everything that comes with a crazy summer schedule. our life is jam-packed with goodness, and i can't complain.
i've had several people ask to see some pictures of our recent trip, so i thought this would be a good way to share for those who cared.
a little background for you all...
we bought these plane tickets last september, and planned this as a dual-graduation/third anniversary trip for both of us. we spent the next months trying to figure out where we wanted to go, and budgeted everything out to where we had a binder full of information... from train tickets and transfers, to hotel stays, to things we wanted to do/see. little did we know we would soon be pregnant. luckily, it fell right during my second trimester, and even though i was a little extra tired while traveling, i think it was the perfect time to go.
so there you have it... our

part one to switzerland + venice
this first post is on the beginning days of our trip to switzerland and venice. i honestly took so many pictures and video footage, that i had to break up our trip video into two parts, and ended up with more pictures than we could ever know what to do with. oh well.
switzerland means so much to us because it's where we were engaged over three years ago, and re-visiting those places was so special to us. we spent our first days in:
zurich
lauterbrunnen
wengen
wilderswil
interlaken
venice
every one of these places is incredible, and worth a visit (or two... or three)! if you ever have a short stay in switzerland, and want to plant yourself in the most beautiful place in the world, be sure to visit wengen and lauterbrunnen. those villages.... ahhh i could talk about them forever.
enough talk though. enjoy.
now picture overload. in no particular order of course.
(keep in mind this is maybe 1/20th of all the pics we took... so hard to choose favorites!)
welcome to wengen!^^
and hello third trimester^ :)
our picnics were my favorite
a morning hike in wengen

the cats loved bry and followed us everywhere haha^^
the most amazing bike ride we took from Lauterbrunnen to Grutschalp to Winteregg, to Murren, to Gimmelwald, down to Stechelberg, and back to Lauterbrunnen!!
re-visiting the exact spot we were engaged in. lauterbrunnen, switzerland. ^^
i think it needs to be a painting in our home one day... what do you think!?
gelato on the daily, of course
view from our hotel room in Wilderswil^^
don't get me started on the food... the cheese fondue and raclette dinners... hmmm yeah.
just a casual picture on our iphone. ^^ (dead)
^traditional swiss breakfast with yogurt parfaits and bread + cheese
favorite dinner of the trip at Hotel Oberland in Lauterbrunnen. Swiss Rosti and Raclette.^^
the view from our hotel balcony in Lauterbrunnen, NBD.
