is anyone else still celebrating the fact that we had a white christmas!?
we had such a fun christmas and month of december... much thanks to our 12 dates of christmas list
here are some snapshots of our

D E C E M B E R

(get ready for picture overload!)

^lots and lots of skiing.
on this day pictured above, we practically had the mountain to ourselves!!

^the miles family christmas eve tradition... skiing, and a BBQ in the parking lot for lunch

 ^this lovely's wedding reception
and dinner the night before in the prettiest room at JSMB
my mother in-law's christmas choir concert at Gardner Hall
 ^that building though!!
^and ice cream after  of course
^temple square lights and macy's store windows. so cliche, but it's a must every year.

the best part about that night was that my sweetheart had just GRADUATED from the University of Utah in Business Management, and he was soaking up the fact he wasn't worried or stressed about anything at all. hooray for being done with school and both working full time! best christmas present for both of us! so proud of him and his hard work.
^my favorite thing of the entire month, was FINALLY meeting my nephew, little E.
...and watching him sleep on my bed made me melt into a puddle.
i love watching his cheeks squish with bry's kisses.
^being able to watch my parents as new grandparents has made me so happy
A Christmas Carol at Hale.
coming home to one of my favorite presents of the year:
drawings of "Meg and Bryson" from the triplets i nanny.
our soccer team "LOS PRIMOS" (made of all cousins of course)
going undefeated in the indoor league!
helping host our neighborhood christmas brunch with these ladies i love
watching a friend from work get baptized. i love my maddi. she is the definition of sunshine.
^skyping with my little brother on christmas day made us all full of smiles, laughs, and love. the people in brazil are soooo so lucky to have him. and he is probably the funniest person on the planet. i miss him.
^oh and the christmas decorations... i'm not ready to take them down yet!
^my in-laws brought this back to us from Germany! nothing prettier than german hand-crafted christmas decor.

^i'm gonna miss walking in the front door to see two hanging stockings, twinkle lights on, cards lining our front door, and pretty ornaments hung everywhere... but i'm so ready to ring in the new year! welcome 2015!!

sculpey nativity

my husband and i are really just two kids in grown-up bodies, and this date night took us right back to our childhood. for this DIY, go to your nearest craft store to find sculpey. there were other fun things we thought of to create, but since christmas was around the corner, we chose to make a

N A T I V I T Y

once you sculpt your figurines, you put tin foil underneath and bake according to the directions on the packaging.
^how cute are those wise men my husband made!?

super fun and inexpensive!

the polar express

T H E  P O L A R  E X P R E S S

bry and i were so excited to check off one of our dates from our "12 dates of christmas" list
if you have kids or nieces/nephews, this needs to be on your to-do list this year or next!
this was a night full of magic, and so fun to experience with my family.

not only do you learn about some of the history of the heber valley railroad... you sing christmas songs, dance in the aisles, elves deliver hot cocoa + cookies from Mrs. Claus, Santa pays a visit to each train car, and you each get a christmas bell before getting off.

i think when i'm 90 and have grandkids running around my backyard, i need to find myself an old train car for them to play in, and for me to decorate. i was obsessed with this old thing.

^^honestly, how magical is that train car with its twinkle lights!?
^ we all ate at dairy keen in heber before the train ride, and all the kids meals came with conductor hats. how fitting, right!?
^this cute little thing hung on to me all night. love my ruby.
 ^ everyone loves grandma b!
^ time for kisses under the mistletoe, of course ;)
^the kids were so excited to see santa!
^ well.... most of them. :)
